Watch Drowning Pool join Offset and J.I.D. for ‘Bodies’ on ‘Fallon’

Drowning Pool, Offset and J.I.D. have performed ‘Bodies’ together on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon – check it out below.

Yesterday, rappers Offset and J.I.D. appeared on the late night talk show to perform their collaborative track ‘Bodies’, taken off Offset’s new album ‘Kiari’. The original version of the track sees both rappers trading verses over a trap beat that sample vocals from Drowning Pool’s ‘Bodies’.

However, for their Tonight Show performance, Offset and J.I.D. traded in their trap beats for Drowning Pool’s nu-metal sound, enlisting the band to perform the instruments of their iconic track as the rappers performed their verses.

The result is a darker, more aggressive take on Offset and J.I.D.’s track.

Offset’s previous album – 2023’s ‘Set It Off’ – scored a three-star review from NME, with Kyann-Sian Williams writing: “In the Metro Boomin-produced 2017 single ‘Ric Flair Drip’, Offset alludes that he’s in the same league as the 16-time wrestling champion – perhaps he’s more like Jeff Hardy; a beloved solo figure, but at his best with his brothers.”

Cardi B had filed for divorce from the Migos rapper over the summer last year, while pregnant with their third child. Earlier this year, Offset proposed a plan for dividing assets and custody of his children. He also filed legal documents requesting joint custody of the couple’s three children: Kulture, Wave, and their youngest daughter, whose name has not been revealed yet.

He specified in his filing that Cardi’s residence should be the primary home for the children, and asked the court to determine each parent’s child support responsibilities. Additionally, he requested that all the couple’s marital property be split 50/50 and both parties should cover their own legal fees.
