Watch CMAT perform ‘Euro Country’ and ‘Stay for Something’ on ‘SNL UK’

CMAT joined Saturday Night Live UK as the musical guest – check out her performances below.

The singer appeared on last night’s (September 12) show, with Jeff Goldblum taking on hosting duties for the first episode of the second season. She first joined the stage to assist with Goldblum’s opening monologue, which saw him play a song filled with references to the UK and his career.

CMAT at one point helped him by holding cue cards that read “Life Finds a Way,” in reference to his famous Jurassic Park line. “I don’t recognise it,” Goldblum said – but then the band began to play the film’s iconic theme, and he remembered who he was. “I get it now, I can do it!”

As the musical guest, she played ‘Stay For Something’ from 2023’s ‘Crazymad, for Me‘, before launching into the title track from her acclaimed 2025 album ‘Euro-Country’ for her second performance.

CMAT also made an appearance in the recurring sketch 45 Seconds with Fouracres, where she engaged in a lightsaber battle with comedian George Fouracres over him forgetting the black pudding for her weekly fry-up.

Elsewhere on last night’s episode, the cast poked fun at Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s much-discussed return to England.

In other CMAT news, she recently released a live EP from her huge show at St Anne’s Park in Dublin.

Last month, CMAT revealed that she will not be performing live in 2027, saying she is “literally losing [her] mind” after touring non-stop for six years.

“I’m not doing any live music next year. The next calendar year, of 2027, I’m not performing any live music at all,” she said. “I don’t know if I was supposed to say that, but that’s what’s happening. And I don’t care – you can come fight me if you want.”

In May, CMAT took home the Best Album award for ‘Euro Country’ at the Ivors 2026. The record was also shortlisted for the 2025 Mercury Prize, and landed at Number Four on NME‘s best albums of the year list. She was nominated for Best International Artist at the BRIT Awards 2026, too.

As for SNL UK, the show has received a generally warm reception, but has made headlines with its humour. Earlier this year, cast member Ania Magliano responded to controversy surrounding her joke that drew comparisons between Mark Zuckerberg and Hitler, describing the tech billionaire as “fair game,” and said that she was “kind of detached” from any online criticism.

The British spin-off of the long-running US sketch comedy show debuted on Sky One in March with former SNL US cast member Tina Fey as the host and Wet Leg as the musical guest. Since then, celebrities including Jamie Dornan, Riz Ahmed, and Nicola Coughlan have hosted, while music acts have included Kasabian, Foo Fighters, and MEEK.
