Charli XCX kicked off her 2024 UK ‘Brat’ tour in Manchester last night (Wednesday November 27) – where she also performed the ‘So I’ remix in tribute to SOPHIE for the first time. Check out photos, footage and the setlist below.
On the UK victory lap for her whirlwind year off the back of the cultural phenomenon of ‘Brat’ summer, inspired by her acclaimed sixth album and subsequent remix record, Charli rolled into Manchester’s Co-Op Live.
Bounding onto the stage after playing SOPHIE’s ‘Immaterial’ over the speakers, Charli later paid tribute to her late friend and collaborator with the debut performance of the remix of ‘So I’. “This is the first time I’ve performed this song,” she told the crowd. “This song is for SOPHIE.”

Performing the original track for the first time at the Billboard Women In Music Awards back in March, Charli told the audience: “This song is about a person who’s really, really special to me who’s no longer with us.”
With Manchester being the home city of her fiancé, The 1975’s George Daniel, Charli regularly gave a shout-out to her future husband who was “in the house”. Fans were hoping for him to join her on stage, but it didn’t materialise. However, she was joined by support act and collaborator Shygirl for a rendition of ‘365’ at the top of a hedonistic and high octane stellar set – in keeping with the spirit of ‘Brat’ and fulfilling the hype of one of the most talked about tours of the year.
Reviewing her ‘Sweat’ tour with Troye Sivan in New York back in September, NME hailed it as a statement from “former pop underdogs cementing their status as arena-slaying icons”.
