Watch Celine Dion Dance to the New Sebastian Ingrosso Remix of One of Her Classics

It’s “a new day” for a Celine Dion classic, with her 2002 hit “A New Day Has Come” getting reimagined by Swedish House Mafia‘s Sebastian Ingrosso.

His rework turns Dion’s belter into a brooding mainstage track that takes her “hush, now, I see a light in the sky, it’s almost blinding me. I can’t believe I’ve been touched by an angel with love” lyrics and layers them over over a darkly thumping production.

Built for festivals, this one’s gotten a crucial stamp of approval from Dion herself, who shared a video of herself solo dancing to the track in the studio, pumping her fists, shaking her hips, clapping her hands, doing a little shimmy and generally appearing to be feeling it deeply. Ingrosso’s “A New Day” is his first solo release on Swedish House Mafia’s new SUPERHUMAN label.

“Thank you Celine for letting me bring this into a new shape,” he wrote when sharing the song on Instagram, with the post getting comments of praise from fellow producers including Calvin Harris, Diplo, David Guetta, Adriatique and Anyma.

Released on March 11, 2002, Dion’s “A New Day Has Come” was the title track of her eighteenth studio album, marking her comeback after a hiatus during which she gave birth to her first child. The song, one of Dion’s 21 Hot 100 hits, reached No. 22 in May of 2002 and ultimately spent 20 in weeks on the chart.

Swedish House Mafia plays the second weekend of Tomorrowland 2025 today. Watch the festival’s livestream here.
