Billie Eilish has performed a powerful and emotional cover of Paramore‘s ‘The Only Exception’ at a concert in Paris – check out a clip of the performance below.
Last night (June 10), Eilish performed the first of two shows at the Accor Arena in Paris, France, where she treated fans in attendance to a special performance. 13 songs into her extensive 25-track performance, Eilish brandished a cover of Paramore’s iconic ballad ‘The Only Exception’, off ‘Brand New Eyes’.
The cover sees Billie and her backing band deliver a stripped-back performance, as she sits in a circle with her fellow performers and chimes echo out through the arena.
By the time Eilish hits the chorus, the arena sings along with her – watch her perform the tender cover below.
The cover was recognised by Paramore’s Hayley Williams, who shared a snippet of it on her Instagram Stories with the caption: “@billieeilish i love you sweet baby b – yall did this so beautifully”.

This isn’t the first time that Eilish has tipped her hat to Williams and co. In April 2022, Eilish invited Williams onstage during her Coachella headlining set to perform Paramore’s ‘Misery Business’ and Eilish’s own ‘Happier Than Ever’.
Shortly after that Coachella set, Eilish responded to a fan via her Instagram Stories who asked her what her favourite Paramore track was. Eilish posted a screenshot of one of the band’s songs playing on her Spotify with the volume bar pushed to the top. “All-time favourite,” she captioned the song, which was ‘All I Wanted’ – the ‘Brand New Eyes’ album closer.
This did not go unnoticed by Williams, as the following year, Paramore brought Billie Eilish out at one of their Los Angeles shows to perform 2009 hit ‘All I Wanted’ – singing the first verse and providing harmonies.
Elsewhere on Eilish’s ‘Hit Me Hard And Soft’ tour, she covered Radiohead’s ‘Creep’ in Amsterdam last month. Eilish has been a longtime fan of Radiohead and in 2019, it emerged that the feeling was mutual, with frontman Thom Yorke praising her defiant spirit. “I like Billie Eilish,” he said. “She’s doing her own thing. Nobody’s telling her what to do.”
The tour is due to continue around Europe until she arrives in the UK on July 7 for two nights in Glasgow and then six at London’s O2 Arena. Four dates in Manchester and two in Dublin will bring the 83-date tour to a close. You can view a full list of tour dates here and purchase any remaining tickets for her UK dates here.
Elsewhere, Eilish recently joined Charli XCX during her Coachella 2025 set for a rendition of their collaboration ‘Guess’, which they were recently nominated for a Grammy for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance.
