The Puerto Rican rapper and singer unveiled a huge world tour in support of his latest album ‘Debí Tirar Más Fotos’ last year, taking him across Latin America, Europe, Asia, and Australia.
The only UK dates on the global trek took him to Tottenham Hotspur Stadium this past weekend, with Sunday night’s (June 28) second date seeing Bad Bunny joined by Damon Albarn and co. for ‘Clint Eastwood’ and ‘Tormenta’.
Bad Bunny features on the studio version of the latter track, which is taken from Gorillaz’ album ‘Cracker Island’. Albarn had confirmed the collab back in 2021, telling Warp in an interview that he and Bad Bunny had linked up while in Jamaica.
It comes only shortly after Gorillaz themselves played a mammoth show at Tottenham Hotspur on June 20, marking the first ever stadium show for the collective, which followed on the heels of them releasing ‘The Mountain’ and playing a handful of UK arena shows earlier this year.

Elsewhere in his set, he nodded to Oasis with a ‘Wonderwall’ instrumental played on the Cuatro before he launched into ‘Debí Tirar Más Fotos’ track ‘TURiSTA’.
In a five-star review of that album, NME shared: “On ‘Debí Tirar Más Fotos’, Benito revolutionises Puerto Rico’s folk music and reclaims his reggaeton throne with game-changing fusions that are authentic to him and what he believes in.”
In other Bad Bunny news, he’s set to play a talking pizza slice in the much-anticipated latest instalment in the Toy Story franchise. The musician has been acting more regularly in recent years, appearing in Bullet Train, Happy Gilmore 2 and Caught Stealing.
Meanwhile, his much-discussed Super Bowl halftime show this year became the most-watched of all time.
The Puerto Rican superstar became the first Latin male artist and the first artist performing primarily in Spanish to take the prestigious headline slot last month, playing a set that celebrated the history and diversity of Latin music styles. The set saw guest appearances from Lady Gaga and Ricky Martin, while Pedro Pascal, Cardi B, Jessica Alba and Karol G were all spotted among the dancers.
In terms of pure US television audience, it was recently revealed that the set drew 128.2million views, putting it in fourth place in the all-time rankings – behind Michael Jackson in 1993, Usher in 2024 and Kendrick Lamar last year.
As for Gorillaz, the band recently played at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium earlier this month for their first Stadium show, and later confirmed that they are making a documentary about the milestone.
It was also announced this weekend that their ‘House Of Kong’ exhibition would be heading to New York for a limited run. The immersive exhibition first launched in London last year and invites fans inside the fictional world of the band, exploring 25 years of Gorillaz history, artwork, music, characters and mythology.
Billed as a chance to “peek behind the curtain into the unseen world of Gorillaz”, the hour-long experience takes fans through the story of the band and their Kong Studios universe. ‘House Of Kong’ is now heading to the Big Apple, opening at the Agger Fish Building in Brooklyn Navy Yard on September 1 and running until September 28.
