Watch Axl Rose join Billy Joel on stage for ‘Live And Let Die’ cover in LA

Billy Joel was joined by Axl Rose on stage for a rendition of the song ‘Live And Let Die’ during the former’s show in Los Angeles.

While performing at the Intuit Dome in Los Angeles on Saturday (October 12), the ‘Piano Man’ hitmaker surprised the Californian audience with the Guns N’ Roses frontman. The two performed a cover of the Wings classic.

Guns N’ Roses released their rendition of the 1973 James Bond theme – for the film of the same name, penned by Paul and Linda McCartney – as the second single from their 1991 LP ‘Use Your Illusion I’. Check out footage of Joel and Rose performing the song together below.

Back in July, Joel played his historic 150th – and last – show as part of his Madison Square Garden residency, and brought out Rose to perform a number of songs. He had been playing one show at the iconic venue every month since January 2014.

Late last month, Joel announced two new UK live shows – marking his only European tour dates for 2025. So far, these are the only European performances that the New York artist has scheduled for next year, and tickets are available here.

Billy Joel’s 2025 European tour dates are:

JUNE 2025
7 – Edinburgh, Scottish Gas Murrayfield
21 – Liverpool, Anfield Stadium

The two exclusive UK shows come just days after the ‘Piano Man’ took to social media to announce a string of new tour dates across the United States in 2025 with support from Sting and Stevie Nicks.

In other news, Vampire Weekend recently performed a cover of Joel‘s ‘Scenes From An Italian Restaurant’ while at Madison Square Garden.
