The euphoric song is the Glasgow band’s first since 2023’s ‘Heaven Sent’ EP.

Speaking about the single, VLURE said via a press release: “It’s an ode to friends and every night we spent figuring out life, whilst holding hands; every mad afters, every time we hugged and had each other’s backs through the shit, the friends we lost along the way, and the new ones yet to be made.

“It crescendos with a nod to the future and an acknowledgement that although we’ve grown together, no matter how hard life gets, we will always have those nights, and all the other days and nights yet to come.”

Written by brothers, programming and guitarist Conor and bassist Niall Goldie, ‘Better Days’ has its “roots in the music the brothers grew up around, the icons of 90s dance music; Orbital, Underworld, Faithless. To say ‘Better Days’ sits in this canon is no understatement; a spoken-word rave symphony that brings the genre firmly up to date, both musically and lyrically, incorporating the five piece’s other influences, which include Nitzer Ebb, PC Music, Front 242 and The Streets.”

The band are currently putting the finishing touches to their debut album, due for release by Music For Nations later this year.

They are also due to appear at this year’s Reading & Leeds festivals alongside the likes of Chappell Roan, Travis Scott, Bring Me The Horizon and Hozier. This year’s edition of the dual-festival is set to take place between August 21 and 24.

Reviewing their ‘Euphoria‘ EP in 2022, NME awarded the record three stars and said it was filled with “industrial bangers that get to the dark heart of Glasgow’s club scene.”

It added: “The Glasgow band have spent the pandemic pining for emotional releases on the dancefloor, and their debut EP takes them one step closer.”
