TWS usher in winter with new single, ‘Last Festival’

K-pop rookie boyband TWS have released their first single album ‘Last Bell’, alongside a music video for title track ‘Last Festival’.

Pledis Entertainment dropped both the single album and accompanying music video on November 25 at 6pm KST. Led by title track ‘Last Festival’, the new record features two additional B-sides: ‘Your Name (Highlight)’ and ‘Comma’.

In the music video, the six-piece become high school students working hard to prepare a performance of ‘Last Festival’ for a school talent show called ‘A Winter Night’s Dream’. “You and I, between us, finally complete me / Let’s begin our last festival, my friend / The warmth we’ve shared / Please remember the feeling when we meet again,” they sing on the chorus.

The release of ‘Last Bell’ marks TWS’ third music this year, with their most recent being their second mini-album released in June titled ‘Summer Beat!’. That six-track record included promoted singles ‘Hey! Hey!’ and ‘If I’m S, Can You Be My N?’.

TWS debuted under Pledis Entertainment earlier this year in January with their debut mini-album, ‘Sparkling Blue’. Featuring hit title track ‘plot twist’, their debut made them the first boyband Pledis has launched in nine years, following the debut of SEVENTEEN in 2015.

During the 2024 MAMA Awards, TWS went away with two awards for their first ceremony since debut. The band were awarded the Best New Male Artist prize and the Best Dance Performance (Male Group) for ‘plot twist’.

In other news, Pledis labelmates SEVENTEEN emerged as one of the biggest winners of this year’s MAMA Awards, having bagged two Grand Prizes for Artist of the Year and Album of the Year. They were bested only by aespa, who took six trophies home out of eight total nominations.
