TWS has released their third mini-album, TRY WITH US.
The members of TWS — Shinyu, Dohoon, Youngjae, Hanjin, Jihoon and Kyungmin — embody the brave and adventurous spirit of youth stepping boldly into their twenties. The album title, TRY WITH US, symbolizes courageously embracing new and unexplored experiences. It showcases lively and refreshing sounds blended with the uniquely vibrant vocals of TWS.
The title of the track “Countdown!” captures the fearless and exhilarating moments when twenty-year-olds leap boldly forward. Additional tracks such as “Lucky to Be Loved,” “Freestyle,” “Now Playing” and “GO BACK” weave a cohesive narrative around TWS’ vision of youthful vitality. Even aware of life’s numerous challenges ahead, these young individuals bravely forge ahead, transforming each experience into learning opportunities and treasured memories, crafting unique stories.
TWS consistently delivers fresh and uplifting K-pop sounds. Their latest album, TRY WITH US, bursts with the energetic and lively vibes characteristic of TWS, each track infused with captivating melodies and dynamic rhythms that embody the spirited energy of youth. This solidifies their unique genre, aptly named “Boyhood Pop.”
Meanwhile, TWS, a six-member group under PLEDIS Entertainment, conveys the meaning “always with our fans, 24 hours a day.” Their debut track, “plot twist,” notably charted on the Billboard Global 200 for eight consecutive weeks, drawing significant attention due to their rapid growth. TWS were Billboard’s K-Pop Rookie of the Month for January.

SHINYU
Image Credit: Pledis Entertainment SHINYU: It had been quite a while since I last visited a subway station, so just filming there felt exciting. It was also nice to see so many people, each carrying their own kind of anticipation and energy as they start a new day. I felt that those emotions were very much in sync with the vibe of our song.

DOHOON
Image Credit: Pledis Entertainment DOHOON: I felt completely at ease while filming this scene, which allowed me to act out boldly and express myself naturally. Through my phone camera, I was capturing SHINYU deep in thought—imagining what adulthood might be like—which was part of “Countdown!” music video’s intro. The quiet, calm atmosphere of the set really helped me focus, stay relaxed and absorb the moment.

YOUNGJAE
Image Credit: Pledis Entertainment YOUNGJAE: When I think of the word “youth,” I believe it has many different forms, and it’s almost impossible to define with a single expression. But to me, “youth” is a time when I feel truly alive—a moment where I’m simply enjoying life as it is. Even if I can be clumsy from time to time and unsure of many things, I think “youth” is about embracing all of that as part of who I am and living life with joy anyway.

HANJIN
Image Credit: Pledis Entertainment HANJIN: When we were filming against the sunset, us running around wasn’t actually part of the scene. After we finished shooting the full choreography, the director asked if we could just run toward the sun and jump around however we wanted. With no specific instructions, we all just let loose and expressed ourselves in the moment. Even though it was completely spontaneous, that scene ended up becoming the final shot of the music video. That moment when we filmed with complete freedom stayed with me as a truly special memory.

JIHOON

Even if it’s the same movie, there was something thrilling about watching it at night while eating popcorn as a twenty-year-old. It was definitely a bucket list moment and I’m glad I got to check it off!
