Twenty One Pilots are putting on global “album listening parties” where fans can hear their new album ‘Breach’ early.

The album offers an extension to the narrative lore that began with the duo’s 2015 fourth album ‘Blurryface’ and continued with ‘Trench’ (2018) and ‘Clancy’ (2024). Preceded by the lead single ‘The Contract’, which arrived in June, the album will drop on September 12 via Fueled By Ramen — pre-order/pre-save it here.

The listening events will be taking place in independent record stores across the world from September 6, where fans can also participate in some exclusive giveaways. You can find out more about which record stores are participating here.

Last month, Twenty One Pilots confirmed the full tracklisting for album eight, following frontman Tyler Joseph making a cryptic Instagram Live broadcast.

In other Twenty One Pilots news, this spring saw the band conclude their huge ‘Clancy’ world tour with two concerts at The O2 in London. Shortly before then, fans teamed up to find a drum that had been stolen from the band at the end of their show in Manchester.

Their 2024 record peaked at Number Two in the UK and was given a three-star review from NME. “The record fares better when it shoots for genuine experimentation, like on the weird, spacey ‘Lavish’,” it read. “Otherwise, ‘Clancy’ is more often than not the sound of a band spinning their wheels, caught in a strange space where their colourful conceptual ideas are being painted from a beige musical palette.”
