Trueno & Maria Becerra’s ’90s’ and More: Vote for the Best New Latin Music Release This Week

This week, Billboard’s New Music Latin poll — curated with key recommendations by Billboard Latin and Billboard Español editors — features new music including Becky G’s new album Baraja Bendita, Benny Blanco’s all-Spanish-language set Hermoso and a collaboration by Carín León and Ke Personajes called “Qué Anda Haciendo,” to name a few.

Notably, Trueno and Maria Becerra have dropped the music video of their collaboration, “90s,” produced by Tatool and El Guincho that blends the sounds of pop and hip-hop made popular in the ’90s through retro synthesizers. The song also samples a song called “Orbitando” by Argentine band Los Encargados.

“90s” marks the fourth single off of Trueno’s TURR4ZO album that was released in April. It’s also the second collaborative effort between the Argentine pair following, “Cuando Te Vi | CROSSOVER #5.” The music video was filmed at the Universidad Nacional de La Matanza in Buenos Aires by Agustín Puente and Clemente Bruzzone.

Meanwhile, artists such as Luis Fonsi, Paulo Londra, Mariah Angeliq, have also dropped new music this week.

The most recent New Music Latin poll (published on Aug. 7) was topped by Karol G’s new studio album, No Me Arrepiento de Sentir Tanto, which earned more than 60% of the vote. Which release this week do you think is best? Give these new releases a spin and vote for your favorite new Latin music release below.

Editor’s Note: The results of the weekly New Music Latin poll will be posted if the poll generates more than 1,000 votes. This poll closes at 11 a.m. ET on Monday (Aug. 17).
