While the post did not specify what was ailing Tyler, 74, or what type of procedure she underwent, it added that, “the surgery went well and she is now recuperating. We know that all of her family, friends, and fans will be concerned about this news and will be wishing her well for a full and swift recovery.”

Tyler is slated to hit the road this summer for a European tour, with dates scheduled to begin on May 22 at the SummerLUST Music Festival in Ghaxaq, Malta, followed by shows in Germany, Czechia, Hungary and Turkey, as well as gigs in Austria, Scotland, the U.K., Romania, Switzerland and Denmark, with the run currently slated to end on Dec. 17 at Utilita Arena in Cardiff, Wales.

The singer — best known for her 1983 Billboard Hot 100 No. 1 smash “Total Eclipse of the Heart,” written by Bat Out of Hell songwriter Jim Steinman — recently released the official lyric video for her dance pop anthem “Only Love.” The song was the follow-up to two other singles Tyler dropped this year, “One Love” and “One World One Home,” which came after her hit collab with David Guetta and Hypaton on “Together.”
