Kanye West took the time to hit out at Dave Chappelle and the late Virgil Abloh during his recent tweet spree this past weekend.

The musician and fashion mogul – now known as Ye – recently posted a string of hate-filled rants on X/Twitter. Although his account appears to have been deactivated, Ye took the time to voice his support for Diddy and Chris Brown and urged for the former to be released from prison amid sexual abuse allegations.

He also claimed “dominion” over his wife, Bianca Censori and went on a rant withdrawing his apology to the Jewish community for past anti-Semitic comments, as well as declaring himself as “a Nazi”. He then shared a slew of other demeaning posts which targeted several communities.

During his tweeting spree, Ye spoke out against the late fashion mogul Virgil Abloh. His words came as a shock considering the long history the two have, with them being friends and collaborations since early ’00s.

“I LOVE TRAV VIRGIL AND DRAKE. DRAKE THE REALEST ONE OF THOSE THREE THOUGH HE NOT FAKE COOL HE’S JUST TALENTED AF,” Ye wrote in a now-deleted tweet (via Complex). “ AND YES ITS FUCK VIRGIL AND ANY OF THESE OTHER N****S THAT WORKED FOR ME [THEN] USED ME, THEN WENT AGAINST ME. I LOVE VIRGIL AND HE USED THAT VERY LOVE TO BEAT NIGERIANS ARE SUPER SMART.”

The tweet marked the second time in 24 hours that the rapper had called out the late fashion mogul after previously posting “FUCK VIRGIL” on his X/Twitter page.

Abloh was the founder of luxury fashion brands Pyrex Vision and Off-White. He went on to make history as the first African-American to be artistic director at a French luxury fashion house when he joined LVMH in 2018 after being appointed the role of artistic director of Louis Vuitton’s menswear collection. He was also the creative director of Donda, Ye’s creative agency.

During his debut runway show for Louis Vuitton in Paris back in 2018, Abloh and Ye shared a special and emotional moment in which Ye hugged his long-term creative director in an emotional embrace.

Abloh passed away in 2021 after battling a rare form of cancer. Ye alongside the likes of Drake, Tyler, The Creator and more were all in attendance at the funeral in Chicago. The ‘Heartless’ hitmaker also had his Sunday Service choir perform a cover of Adele‘s ‘Easy On Me’ in honour of late designer a day after his passing.

Elsewhere during his tweet spree, Ye also hit out at comedian Dave Chappelle, claiming that he had shown his “true colours”, had been lying to Black people, and assisting the Jewish community and their alleged “agendas.”

“Why do I target Dave Chapelle? Cause y’all think he speaking for black people when he’s really a voice for Jewish agendas,” he wrote in a now deleted tweet (via Complex). “Now put this k*** ass n***a up on stage and let him do his k*** shit while I name comedians that are way funnier than you that don’t have as big a name, How you gone call yourself the funniest man on earth right in front of Chris Rock Who’s name is actually bigger than yours?”

He continued in a separate tweet, saying: “And I still found a good picture cause I love you n***a. But this shit is not about emotion. This is a war where you have to get your jokes approved by Jewish people. But you don’t run your jokes past the king. You banished you lanky ass dry Travis Scott lipped motherfucker.

“Every joke you tell I’m on yo ass. You used to be my hero, Dave. You were one of my inspirations to go to war with adidas. And after you thought I lost that battle you showed your true colours. Your envy. The hate in your blood ’cause you want to be a rock star but you just can’t get the same pussy as me and John Mayer and DeRay. You ugly. You been Ugly. You was ugly when the Jews took you in. You ugly now. And you gone die ugly.”

Chappelle and Ye have been longtime friends with the latter previously appearing as a surprise guest at one of the comedian’s shows in NYC back in 2014. The rapper performed a two-track set comprised of ‘Jesus Walks’ and ‘Gold Digger’.

Ye sang ‘Happy Birthday’ to the Chappelle during his Sunday Service back in 2019. Chappelle also defended Ye’s anti-Semitic rants during his opening monologue while hosting Saturday Night Live in 2022.

In other Kanye West news, Ye was recently slammed for selling a hoodie seemingly identical to the one Cassie wore when Diddy was captured on film assaulting her in 2016.

Ye over the weekend had also said “I love Hitler”, praised billionaire and X-owner Elon Musk as “the most lit person that [has] ever been on Twitter” and claimed that all other people look up to him. Musk himself had drawn criticism and allegations of Nazism earlier this year when he made two Nazi-like gestures during Donald Trump’s presidential inauguration.

Following Kanye’s weekend rant, Friends star David Schwimmer called on action to be taken against rapper for his hate-filled “Nazi” posts, arguing that “silence is complicity”.
