The Starting Line Rev Up Their Return With New Song ‘Circulate’

The pop-punk pioneers also unveil the track list for forthcoming LP Eternal Youth

The Starting Line may be getting older, but they’re still young at heart. To prove it, they’re releasing their first album in 18 years, aptly-titled Eternal Youth this fall. Today, they release new song “Circulate” from the forthcoming LP.

Driven by an incessant pedal drum and complemented by staccato guitar riffs, the track is a blood rush to the head — and clear indicator of how far the band has come from their pop-punk classic “The Best of Me.” In the accompanying video for “Circulate,” the band is basked in a firetruck red light as lead singer Kenny Vasoli barks, “Slow burn, billowing.”

“Circulate” is the second single off Eternal Youth. Last month, the Starting Line marked their return with “Sense of Humor,” a bouncy pop rock track. “Circulate” was “written at the zero hour while finishing pre-production in the recording studio” for the album, per a statement. Not only will the upcoming album be the Starting Line’s first in nearly two decades, it’s also the first they will self-release through their newly launched label, Lineage Recordings. The band shared the track list for Eternal Youth, which features 11 songs ranging in emotions from “Enjoyment” to “Humility.”
