The Prodigy confirmed to headline Snowbombing 2025

The Prodigy have been confirmed as the headliners for the 2025 edition of Snowbombing.

The first wave of artists for the 2025 instalment of the Austrian festival have been shared today (October 22), with it taking place at the the village of Mayrhofen between April 7 and April 12.

Having taken place at the site for over a quarter of a century now, the 2025 line-up is led by The Prodigy, and arrives shortly after the legendary electronic dance group announced details of their 2024 UK ‘Distrupra’ tour.

It also comes after their set at this year’s Reading festival scored a four-star review by NME which read: “This is a glossily produced and sensationally life-affirming gig. In Flint’s absence, Maxim carries the show almost entirely himself.”

Also on the line-up for Snowbombing 2025 is DJ and producer Armand Van Helden, who is expected to bring hits like ‘My My My’ and ‘You Don’t Know Me’ to the site. The same is said for Jungle icon and Mercury Prize nominee Nia Archives, who is celebrating the release of her debut album ‘Silence Is Loud’ and was named by NME as one of the highlights of Reading and Leeds 2024.

The current bill also features Blondi, DJ Seinfeld, Ewan McVicar, Max Dean, Nautica, Paige Tomlinson and more. Check out the full poster in the video below, and visit here for tickets.

In other Prodigy news, Howlett opened up to NME earlier this year about what it was like to return to Reading and Leeds without late bandmate Keith Flint. “After losing Keith we couldn’t even think or talk about the band. I think it was two years after his death that me and Maxim started bringing it up. ‘Could we play live again? Did we even want to? Why? How?’ All that shit.

“We realised the only possible real way to know how we would feel was to do it: get back on stage and do a bunch of gigs. It was so hard to walk onto that stage without our brother, but we really felt the crowd with us. Those gigs were highly emotionally-charged but we came out the other end with our answer.”

He went on to say: “That was summer 2022 and here we fucking are: loud and proud!”

The band also paid tribute to late Keith Flint while playing ‘Firestarter’ at Reading. Flint died by suicide on March 4, 2019. He was 49 years old. While performing the track, the band beamed a laser outline of the late singer on stage that moved in time to the music.

The 2023 edition of the Snowbombing Festival saw performances from Jamie xx, Groove Armada, Andy C and more, and marked the first year back after a two-year enforced break due to the coronavirus pandemic.
