The NME Magazine May/June 2025 issue with Oklou on the cover is now on sale

The May/June 2025 issue of NME Magazine, with Oklou on the cover, is out now – alongside a copy of Guitar.com Magazine featuring Mateus Asato.

Having first launched in 1952, NME’s last printed edition of the weekly incarnation of the magazine ceased in 2018. In July 2023, NME announced our return to print with a bi-monthly global magazine that showcases the best new artists and bands on earth, alongside exclusive new franchises, unmissable features, industry insight and expert reviews of the latest music, TV, film, and gaming releases.

We’re thrilled to announce that French electronic artist Oklou is on the cover of the 12th issue of NME Magazine, which is now available exclusively at retailer Dawsons. It comes bundled with a copy of Guitar.com Magazine, which marks the publication’s return to print after a four-year hiatus and features Mateus Asato on the cover.

Each issue of NME Magazine is fronted by an edition of The Cover: NME’s flagship editorial property that champions emerging talent, elevating new artists and bands as part of our commitment to global new music discovery. Oklou, who released her critically acclaimed album ‘Choke Enough’ in February and has been tapped to open for Lorde on tour, was profiled for The Cover by Jasmine Kent-Smith and shot by photographer Furmaan Ahmed.
