The mysterious President are teasing a US tour

The mysterious President appear to be teasing a US tour. Find all the details below.

The new band, fronted by an unknown masked singer, made their debut live appearance at Download 2025 earlier this summer. They have since played their first headline gig at The Garage in London, and announced a UK and Ireland tour for 2026.

Further dates are scheduled in Europe, including some support slots with Architects. Both groups will also hit the road together in Australia this December.

Now, it looks like President are set to head to America too. A recent post from the anonymous outfit on Instagram Stories displayed a pink and white version of the US flag – with their crucifix logo replacing the stars.

The upload directed fans to a sign-up page where they can register their details to “join the campaign”.

President are due to release their debut EP ‘King Of Terrors’ on September 26. The band have already released the singles ‘In The Name Of The Father’, ‘Fearless’ and ‘Rage’. However, they played six songs in total at their recent London show – including a cover of Deftones’ ‘Change (In The House Of Flies)’.

Although no one knows who the members of President are, many fans are convinced that their frontman is Charlie Simpson of Busted and Fightstar fame.

Following early speculation that Simpson may be a part of the project, some said they were “10000 per cent convinced” Simpson was fronting the group after seeing them live. “I’m watching them live at Download right now, it is, without any doubt in my mind, him,” one person wrote.

Simpson revealed to NME last year that he was working on new music. However, he only mentioned his plans with Busted and Fightstar, rather than any new projects coming up.

In a three-star review of President’s London gig, NME noted “a cultlike atmosphere” inside the venue. It read: “Sweat is already dripping from our singer’s disturbing mask as he arrives at the glowing red lectern onstage. He’s soon overpowered by the audience – a running theme across the night – who are awestruck and roaring from minute one.”
