It’ll kick off with a performance by fast-rising pop act Naïka on July 16. Later in the month, the Lightning Seeds will top the bill (July 19), as will The Cribs the following evening (July 20). There will also be appearances from jazz maestro Venna (July 23) as well as The Flaming Lips (July 25) and previous Mercury Prize winner Benjamin Clementine (July 26).

Elsewhere on the lineup are the likes of Palace, Thee Sacred Souls, Agnes Obel, Black Country, New Road and Raf-Saperra.

Tickets for all shows go on general sale at 10 a.m. (GMT) next Friday (March 6) via the official Somerset House website. Alternatively, presale information can be found for American Express cardholders and Somerset House newsletter subscribers.

Somerset House Summer Series will also play host to HOLY POP!, a new exhibition exploring how fan devotion to pop stars and cult icons shapes identity and values. Matthew Cook, Head of Live Events at Somerset House, says: “We’re delighted to unveil the curated headliners for this year’s Somerset House Summer Series. Featuring artists spanning a variety of genres and generations, this year’s edition promises to deliver spectacular performances, in the unique setting of the Somerset House open-air courtyard.”

He added, “From creative trailblazers who have led the way for bold new genres, innovators whose impact can be felt across a vast array of musicians today, distinctly individual talents who continue to surprise, and future greats carving out their own path – Somerset House Summer Series once again stands as a testament to the power of the arts. We can’t wait to welcome artists and fans to our home this summer.”

The Somerset House Summer Series was established in 2003, and has since become a flagship music festival in London. The event has previously welcomed one-off performances from pioneering talent including Adele, Olivia Dean, Rosalía, Patti Smith, Amy Winehouse, Tems and more.
