The star’s documentary series counts down to the farewell night of the Eras Tour
Taylor Swift has announced the remaining episode release dates of her six-part documentary series The End of an Era. On Thursday morning, the superstar announced on Good Morning America that episodes 3 and 2 will hit on Disney+ on Friday, Dec. 19, while the last two episodes (5 and 6) will air on Dec. 23, rather than Dec. 26, as previously expected.
“As an early gift to fans around the world, the final two episodes will premiere early on December 23 at 12am PT,” Disney+ announced on social media.
The series, which chronicles Swift’s record-breaking Eras Tour, premiered the first two episodes on Dec. 12, a day before the star’s birthday. The film encapsulates the tour’s phenomenon — counting down the final months before the last show and capturing all the backstage drama and fan community that rallied around it.
The first two episodes showcased the band and dancers of the mythical tour, including musicians like bassist Amos Heller, who have been at Swift’s side for years. In the first episode, Swift also discusses the thwarted terror plot that forced her to cancel three nights of the Eras Tour in Vienna, becoming emotional as she says her team “dodged a massacre.”

The doc’s first episodes also included heartfelt moments like a jam session with Ed Sheeran (who went on the road with Taylor on the Red tour and has since built his own massively successful career), Florence Welch prepping for a surprise performance of “Florida!!!,” and lead dancer Kameron Saunders opening up about facing discrimination as a black dancer with a larger body and what the historic tour means to him.
“The directors [Don Argott and Sheena M. Joyce] expanded upon the stories of not just me, but everyone who was part of this,” Swift said at a screening earlier this month. “There was a lot of magic and mystery that happens when something goes as well as this (tour) did.”
