Taylor Swift Joins The Beatles as Only Acts With 100 Weeks at No. 1 on Billboard 200 Albums Chart

As Taylor Swift’s The Life of a Showgirl spends a 14th nonconsecutive week atop the Billboard 200 chart (dated Oct. 17), the superstar adds a milestone 100th career week at No. 1.

The Billboard 200 began publishing on a regular, weekly basis in March 1956.

Across her 15 No. 1 albums, Swift has now tallied 100 weeks in the lead, becoming only the second act to spend at least 100 weeks on top. She joins The Beatles, who have 132 weeks at No. 1. The Fab Four was last on top with the greatest hits set 1, which spent its eighth and final week atop the list dated Feb. 3, 2001.

The Life of a Showgirl jumped back to the top of the Billboard 200 a week ago, vaulting 21-1, after it was reissued in a deluxe edition on Sept. 25 with four previously unreleased songs, including the Billboard Hot 100-topper “Patient Zero.”

Among all acts, Elvis Presley has the third-most weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, with 67.

Here’s a look at all 15 of Swift’s No. 1 albums, and how many weeks each spent atop the list (through the chart dated Oct. 17).

The Billboard 200 chart ranks the most popular albums of the week in the U.S. based on multi-metric consumption as measured in equivalent album units, compiled by Luminate. Units comprise album sales, track equivalent albums (TEA) and streaming equivalent albums (SEA). Each unit equals one album sale, or 10 individual tracks sold from an album, or 2,500 ad-supported or 1,000 paid/subscription on-demand official audio and video streams generated by songs from an album. The new Oct. 17, 2026-dated chart will be posted in full on Billboard‘s website on Oct. 13. For all chart news, follow @billboard and @billboardcharts on both X and Instagram.
