Taylor Swift fans are now able to listen to her music 24/7 on her own dedicated, round-the-clock radio station in the US.
With the release of her 12th studio album ‘The Life Of A Showgirl’ coming on October 3, anticipation is growing among her fanbase, and for the next few weeks, SiriusXM are providing ‘Taylor’s Channel 13’, which will play tracks from Swift’s back catalogue non-stop.
The station launched on Saturday (September 20) and will “showcase every era of her music”, according to SiriusXM. It will run until October 19 and once the new album is released, the station will play it in full and uninterrupted once every two hours.
SiriusXM president and chief content officer Scott Greenstein has said: “Taylor Swift continues to not only dominate the music world, but also every aspect of pop culture. Her chart-topping, award-winning songs resonate with every generation of listeners, and we are thrilled to deliver our subscribers a place to celebrate their fandom and the new album with the launch of Taylor’s Channel 13.”
“SiriusXM has proudly supported Taylor from the very beginning of her career and championed her artistry every step of the way,” Greenstein continued. “The channel is a unique destination for fans to connect in a way like never before, hear her music across all eras of her legendary career and celebrate ‘The Life of a Showgirl’ in a uniquely SiriusXM way.”
Taylor’s Channel 13 is available to listen to now via the SiriusXM app here.
‘The Life Of A Showgirl’ will be the follow-up to 2024’s ‘The Tortured Poets Department’, and Swift has already confirmed numerous physical variants of the LP’s release, and it has already broken Spotify records before its release.
She has also shed light on the visual art that fans can expect with the project’s release, and has announced that the album will be heading to cinemas too for an 89-minute “release party” event titled Taylor Swift: The Official Release Party Of A Showgirl.
So far, it has been shared that the record was co-produced by Max Martin and Shellback, alongside Swift herself. The singer has also revealed the full tracklist for the album, which includes a collaboration with Sabrina Carpenter on the title track.
Swift has described the LP as “the record I’ve been wanting to make for a very long time”. The project will focus on “what was going on behind the scenes in my inner life” during the record-breaking ‘Eras Tour’.
Swift will also be appearing on The Graham Norton Show on the day of her album’s release, while approximately 500 Target branches are set to open at midnight on October 3 in the US to sell ‘The Life Of A Showgirl’.
