Tame Impala Announce U.S. Arena Tour

As Tame Impala, Kevin Parker has spent the last ten years influencing musicians as seemingly disparate as Atlanta rapper Lil Yachty and British pop princess Dua Lipa. But now it’s time to focus on himself (and his band). With a new album on the way, Tame Impala has announced a forthcoming U.S. tour, kicking off with two nights at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center and hitting another doubleheader at Inglewood’s Kia Forum before its finale at the Oakland Arena in the Bay Area. Fans can sign up for ticket information here.

Just one day before, Tame Impala announced their upcoming album, Deadbeat, would drop on Oct. 17. They also released the single “Loser” with an accompanying music video. It marks their first album since 2020’s The Slow Rush. In early June, Parker previewed the first Tame Impala song since contributing to 2023’s Barbie movie soundtrack at a Barcelona club. In late July, they returned with their first single in two years, the rave-ready “End of Summer.”

Of his live performances, in 2019, Parker told Rolling Stone, “Being a personality onstage, that’s something I’ve been growing into.” He added, “Saying fuck it and being that person who can rile up the audience. That’s someone I never saw myself as.”
