SZA Poses for an Adorable Photo With Little Nessarose: ‘Just One of Them Days’

After months of proving just how “Popular” she is while on tour with Kendrick Lamar, SZA took a moment to meet another fan-favorite actress at the 2025 Kids’ Choice Awards on Saturday (June 21).

In a new post to her Instagram, Cesily Collette Taylor — the 6-year-old actress who played young Nessarose in last year’s Wicked — posed for a picture with the “Luther” singer on the red carpet of the awards show. “Just one of them days … when you bump into one of your favorites,” she wrote in her Instagram caption, referencing SZA’s film debut in One of Them Days.

Both SZA and Taylor had plenty to celebrate at the annual ceremony. The singer took home the Kids’ Choice Awards for favorite female artist and favorite music collaboration for her and Lamar’s performance on “Luther.” Meanwhile, Wicked earned three wins at the ceremony for favorite movie, favorite song from a movie (for “Defying Gravity”) and favorite movie actress (for Ariana Grande).

The big wins come just as SZA prepares to head to Europe for the next leg of the Grand National Tour with Lamar, which will see the pair arrive in Germany, the U.K., France, Spain and more countries, before closing out the buzzy tour with six shows in Australia.

Taylor, meanwhile, became a meme at the end of last year as fans couldn’t get enough of her performance as Young Nessarose, Elphaba’s little sister, in Wicked. The actress’ one line — an adorable “yeah” — swept TikTok, with some fans of the film referring to it as “the single greatest line reading” in the movie.

Wicked: For Good, the much-anticipated conclusion to the 2024 film, will premiere in theaters this November. For Billboard‘s June cover story, Cynthia Erivo told staff writer Stephen Daw that the new film will explore much darker themes for its main characters, especially Elphaba. “She’s able to access her rage more,” she said. “She is delicious in this next one.”
