Stevie Nicks Forced to Reschedule Tour Dates After Fracturing Shoulder

Fans hoping to see Stevie Nicks on her upcoming Live in Concert tour might have to wait a bit. On Friday, the musician announced that she recently fractured her shoulder and will have to pause performances for the next two months as she recovers.

“Due to a recent injury resulting in a fractured shoulder that will require recovery time, Stevie Nicks’ scheduled concerts in August and September will be rescheduled,” read the Instagram Story statement. “Please note that October dates will be unaffected.”

Fans with tickets to her originally scheduled August and September dates — including in cities such as New York City, Detroit, Tampa, and Boston — will now be rescheduled to November and December. (See the new dates below.)

“All previously purchased tickets will be honored on the new date,” read the statement. “The concert schedule will resume on Wednesday, October 1st in Portland, Oregon. Stevie looks forward to seeing everyone soon and apologizes to the fans for this inconvenience.”

Nicks’ tour will now kick off on the west coast, at Portland’s Moda Center on Oct. 1, before she heads to stops in Sacramento, Las Vegas, and Charlotte. The first rescheduled date is set for Oct. 28 in Detroit, before Boston, Cincinnati, Tampa, and Hollywood, Florida.

“What I wanted to do my whole life was affect people. I love telling my stories onstage. That is what makes me happy, and that’s why I’ll never stop touring,” Nicks told Rolling Stone in an interview last year. “Because if I stop touring, then I’ll stop dancing. I go on a summer tour next year, and I [will] do 40 shows. That’s what Fleetwood Mac used to do.”
