‘Something Is Not Right’: Diddy’s Inner Circle Speaks in New ‘Making of a Bad Boy’ Trailer

Documentary on the embattled music mogul will premiere later this month on Peacock

Members of Diddy’s inner circle discuss their experiences with the embattled music mogul and the harrowing abuse allegations against him in the new trailer for the upcoming documentary, Diddy: The Making of a Bad Boy, premiering Jan. 14 on Peacock.

The 90-minute film is set to dig into Sean Combs’ entire life and career, featuring interviews with a childhood friend, a former bodyguard, and a Making the Band winner, as well as never-before-seen footage of Diddy partying at home and in the studio. The Making of a Bad Boy will also include the first interview musician/producer Al B. Sure!, who was signed to Uptown Records at the same time as Combs and dated Kim Porter before her relationship with Combs.

“Something is not right with this,” Al says in the clip before a different, anonymous talking head (whose voice appears to be disguised) claims, “I’ve been with Sean for quite a while and I’ve captured a lot of moments. Anytime a studio or any room is red, he’s making love and sex. Some of the girls who were in the room, for sure, they were underage.”

(“Mr. Combs and his legal team have full confidence in the facts and the integrity of the judicial process,” Combs’ legal team has previously said. “In court, the truth will prevail: that Mr. Combs never sexually assaulted or trafficked anyone—man or woman, adult or minor.”)

Combs is currently being held without bail at the Metropolitan Detention Center in New York City as he awaits trial on sex trafficking and racketeering charges. Combs was arrested on Sept. 16, 2024 and his trial is set to begin this May. He has pleaded not guilty to the charges against him. If convicted, he could face up to life in prison.

Since his arrest, Combs’ legal team has fought aggressively to secure his release on bail, even putting forward a $50 million bail package that included a residence in Miami, his children’s passports, and around-the-clock monitoring. But these requests were repeatedly denied, and last month Combs’ legal voluntarily dropped their bail appeal.
