Sombr Announces Debut Album ‘I Barely Know Her’ Following Breakthrough Year

The album includes six new songs, along with single highlights “We Never Dated” and “Back to Friends”

After a breakout year that included 51.8 million monthly Spotify listeners, a music video with Addison Rae, and viral festival sets, Sombr is finally releasing his debut album. On Monday, the rising star announced that I Barely Know Her will arrive on Aug. 22 via Warner Records.

The 10-track LP features four previously released tracks, including fan-favorites “Back to Friends,” “Undressed,” “We Never Dated,” and the most recent single, “12 to 12.” It also includes several new tracks, such as “Under the Mat,” “Crushing,” and “Dime,” which Sombr wrote himself and co-produced with Tony Berg.

Sombr will celebrate the album release with a massive, already sold-out tour across North America this fall. He’ll stop in cities such as Boston, New York, DC, Atlanta, and L.A. before heading to New Zealand and Australia at the end of the year. He’ll then tour in Europe and the United Kingdom for an arena run next spring.

I Barely Know Her comes about two years after the NYC native shared his first EP, In Another Life, featuring songs such as “Ivy,” “Weak,” and Silhouette.” Absent from the debut album are hits like “I Don’t Know You Anymore” and “It Could’ve Been You” from 2023, and last year’s “Do I Ever Cross Your Mind.”
