Snow Patrol Signs With BMG, Morgan Wade Goes to Warner & More Signings

Morgan Wade signed with Warner Records Nashville and is set to release her new solo-written song, “Love’s Insane,” on July 10.

Recently been seen on the TV show Dutton Ranch, Wade is known for her breakthrough hit “Wilder Days,” which reached the top 30 on Billboard‘s Country Airplay chart in 2022. She released her debut album, Reckless, in 2021, and followed with the projects Psychopath, Obsessed and The Party Is Over (recovered). — Jessica Nicholson

Country singer-songwriter Ty Herndon signed with Universal Attractions Agency (UAA) for touring, film/TV, theatrical productions and speaking engagements focused on mental health, addiction recovery and LGBTQ+ advocacy. Gabe Israel will act as his responsible agent.

With co-signs from Tyler, the Creator, Kendrick Lamar and J. Cole in his back pocket, 21-year-old New Orleans native La Reezy has parlayed his momentum into a deal with the Steve Stoute-led UnitedMasters.

A week after that announcement, La Reezy released his debut album, Skiddle Bandana, on July 7. He has become an up-and-coming player in the New Orleans rap scene. His music boasts an introspective blend of soul, jazz and trap, with his lyrics jumping from playful to serious topics. He’s set to embark on a headlining North American tour in October, following a handful of U.K. and European dates.

Previously defunct indie metal and hardcore label Ferret Music — known for releasing albums by artists such as Coverage, Disembodied and Killswitch Engage in its previous iteration — relaunched with two acts: BORE and Wounded Touch.

“I started Ferret as a way to be more a part of hardcore,” said Ferret Music co-founder Carl Severson, who will also helm this iteration of the label. “My friends all had talent and were in a band (Endeavor, Ferret 01) and I wanted to do more than carry things to contribute to what they were doing. It was a passion that turned into a life and into a career. For the vast majority of its initial existence I worked with my friends, worked with bands we loved listening to and it was just honestly an adventure. We grew and eventually saw behind the curtain and ventured beyond it. Things changed. My friends didn’t, and we still love listening… So here we are.”

Along with his work at Ferret, Severson will continue working with Good Fight Music, which boasts artists including Great American Ghost and Denial of Life Johnny Booth on its roster.

“Ferret was a label we always looked up to,” said Danny Kopij of BORE. “From Cult Classic to Hot Damn! to A Great Artist to Versions and so on, the music that Carl, Rick and everyone else curated over the years became intertwined with our musical DNA. Wounded Touch vocalist Nick Holland added, “Any time someone has asked us “who would your ideal label be to sign to,” we always would include Ferret to not only be smartasses, but out of legitimate sincerity as they were always the holy grail label of our youth. Most of our childhoods were shaped by the Ferret catalogue, so we’d have been championing this return out of sheer excitement regardless. But to instead get to be directly involved as boots on the ground for the return of Ferret and count ourselves among the pantheon of genre defining records released under that name is a validation that can’t be bought, traded or diminished. Country music trio Restless Road has partnered with EMPIRE Nashville, led by executive vp Jen Way. The band will release a new song through the label, “Forever A Go,” on Friday (July 10).

Restless Road released its debut album Last Rodeo in 2023 and earned a top 40 single on Billboard‘s Country Airplay chart with “Growing Old With You.” The group has opened shows for Brett Young, Kane Brown, Russell Dickerson, Tim McGraw and Cole Swindell.

@ (pronounced “at”), the folk-art project of Philadelphia-based songwriters and multi-instrumentalists Victoria Rose and Stone Filipczak, signed with 4AD and will release the album Autosmile on the label on Oct. 16. The set follows the group’s 2021 debut album, Mind Palace Music, and 2024 EP, Are You There God? It’s Me, @. The band is touring North America, the U.K. and Europe this fall. — Chris Eggertsen

New York-based indie label Rebellion Records signed a slew of new artists, including Chase Icon, Ni/Co, Rome Flynn, Magenta Wave, Santino Le Saint, Midwxst and Brook Rivers. Rebellion has a joint venture with 10K Projects and a publishing partnership with Warner Chappell Music. — Chris Eggertsen

R&B singer and actor Papa Jay signed with Epic Records, which released his new song, “Work Dat,” last month. He’s currently in production on his debut studio album and recently performed at The BET Experience in Los Angeles ahead of the BET Awards. Born Thaddeus Mixson, he has a recurring role on the TV series Reasonable Doubt. — Chris Eggertsen

Singer-songwriter Charlie Worsham signed a distribution agreement with ONErpm for his upcoming independent album, Once Upon a Second Time Around, out Aug. 7. Worsham also just released two new musical versions of his single, “Wrap My Porch Around,” including a bluegrass version accompanied by The Travelin’ McCourys.

Nashville-based singer-songwriter Macy Todd signed to Atlantic Outpost, which released her debut EP, pretty ruthless.

“There are moments that make everything feel real, and signing with Atlantic Outpost was one of them,” Todd said in a statement. “I’m incredibly grateful to have a team that believes in me and these songs as much as I do. It feels like such a special time to be part of what Outpost is building, and I’m so excited for what’s ahead. The day I signed, my dad surprised me with Roberta Flack’s First Take and Killing Me Softly on vinyl. We used to listen to those records together when I was growing up, and I remember seeing the Atlantic logo on those albums long before I ever imagined my name would be connected to it. It was one of those full-circle moments I’ll never forget. I grew up admiring so many of the artists who helped shape Atlantic’s legacy, and getting to be a small part of that story is something I’ll never take for granted.”

Joan Of Arc Music has signed singer-songwriter Carlisle Wright for management.

Earlier this year, Wright made her debut at both the Grand Ole Opry and CMA Fest, won the 2026 Belmont University Country Showcase and opened for her “Uncle Hat” — Country Music Hall of Famer Alan Jackson — on his sold-out “Last Call: One More For The Road — The Finale” concert at Nashville’s Nissan Stadium.
