Shawn Mendes Is Feeling Like Himself and Ready to Get ‘On the Road Again’ With 2025 Tour

Shawn Mendes is feeling like himself again after taking some time away from the stage. His most recent headlining arena tour in support of his album fourth album Wonder, released in 2020, was cancelled to allow him to focus on his mental health. When he returned with Shawn last year, the album was bolstered with an intimate run of shows on his For Friends and Family Only stint. Those performances sparked something in Mendes that he plans to ignite in a more explosive manner on his 2025 On the Road Again Tour.

“Honestly, before I played in South America a couple months ago I was scared. I wasn’t sure how it was gunna feel to be back on the road again & my god…I had the absolute best time. I mean those were some of the best shows of my life,” Mendes wrote on X. “I feel like time away has allowed me to come back and recognize and remember how unbelievably special it is to get to play live shows. It’s an honour and i’m just beyond grateful that you guys keep showing up after 10 years with so much love. I almost forgot i have one of the best jobs in this world.”

The On the Road Again Tour will celebrate the 10th anniversary of the singer’s debut album Handwritten with a setlist designed to highlight his biggest hits, from “Stitches” and “Treat You Better” to “In My Blood,” “If I Can’t Have You,” and more.

The tour will kick off in Europe in August with stops scheduled for Korovo, Poland, Hungary, Denmark, Germany, Austria, the U.K., the Netherlands, Switzerland, Spain, and Portugal. In September, Mendes will kick off the North America leg of the tour with shows in Boston, Toronto, Montréal, New York, Chicago, Vancouver, San Francisco, and Los Angeles.

Mendes will be joined by supporting acts Eddie Benjamin, Maro, and Lubiana. “I’m completely in love with all 3 of these humans,” he said. “So happy and grateful to have them.”
