Sex Pistols and Green Day-approved The Molotovs announce debut album ‘Wasted On Youth’ with frenetic single ‘Today’s Gonna Be Our Day’

The Molotovs have announced details of their debut album ‘Wasted On Youth’ and shared their new single ‘Today’s Gonna Be Our Day’. Find full details below.

The record from the London based band, who recently supported Sex Pistols and have been hailed by Green Day, is set for release on January 30, 2026 via Marshall Records.

According to a press release, the album, which you can pre-order here, is “scattered with themes of social and political awareness, and conveying a sense of being personally overwhelmed, connected yet internally fragmented, brimming with hope and youthful energy, yet grounded in the reality of everyday challenges and modern life.”

The band have also shared their energetic new single ‘Today’s Gonna Be Our Day’, which you can listen to below. It follows their previous debut single ‘More More More’.

“It’s an anti-complacency song”, shares frontman Mathew Cartlidge. “A call to arms for my generation to keep the faith and reject apathy, recognising that it’s our time and our turn to make it better. If anything, it’s about the power of youth.”

The band have also released a seven inch limited version of the single which also features B-side ‘No Time To Talk’, which can be purchased here.

Over the past 12 months, the band have performed at London’s Dingwalls and The Scala, at SXSW in Texas, played their first UK tour and supported the Sex Pistols in aid of the Teenage Cancer Trust at The Royal Albert Hall.

They are set to play a handful of festival slots later this summer. Check out a full list of tour dates below and visit here to purchase tickets.
