SEVENTEEN reveal ‘Happy Burstday’ tracklist, featuring Pharrell and Timbaland

The K-pop band are due to release the follow-up to 2022’s ‘Face The Sun’ on May 26. It comes as they celebrate the 10th anniversary of their debut EP this year.

In a video posted on social media yesterday (May 13), SEVENTEEN revealed that the forthcoming new record would contain 16 songs. Thirteen of these will be solo tracks – one for each member.

They are called ‘Skyfall’ (The8), ‘Fortunate Change’ (Joshua), ‘99.9%’, (Wonwoo), ‘Raindrops’ (Seungkwan) ‘Damage’ (Hoshi, feat. Timbaland), ‘Shake It Off’ (Mingyu), ‘Happy Virus’ (DK), ‘Shining Star’ (Vernon), ‘Trigger’ (Dino), ‘Jungle’ (S.Coups), ‘운명’ (Woozi), ‘쌍둥이자리 (Gemini)’ (Jun) and ‘우연’ (Jeonghan).

The remaining, full-group cuts are titled ‘HBD’, ‘Thunder’ and ‘Bad Influence’ – the latter of which was written and produced by Pharrell Williams.

A previous press release read: “‘HAPPY BURSTDAY’ blends the words ‘birthday’ and ‘burst’ to express the explosive energy of SEVENTEEN’s rebirth, capturing their desire to reinvent themselves as a ‘new SEVENTEEN’ and embrace a fearless new era beyond a decade.”

Their label, Pledis Entertainment, had confirmed that all 13 members were involved in the album’s creation and recording. Jeonghan and Wonwoo worked on the record prior to their military enlistment.

SEVENTEEN are set to mark the release with a special launch performance on Jamsugyo Bridge in Seoul, the day before the LP’s release (May 25).
