Selena Gomez Debuts Shocking Hair Color Transformation: ‘Wild Things Happening’

Selena Gomez isn’t rocking that same old hair color.

In a recent update on Instagram, the singer/actress showed off her new hue — red — that she got for the next season of Only Murders in the Building, which she’s currently filming in London.

In photos posted Wednesday (June 3), Gomez saved her makeover for last, beginning her carousel with snaps of herself and co-stars Martin Short and Steve Martin with Big Ben in the background and pictures of a canoe trip with friends. “Wild things happening with @onlymurdershulu while adoring london,” she wrote in the caption.

The last two slides serve as the big reveal, with Gomez showing off her deep, dark red curls in a selfie and video.

It’s unclear whether the star dyed her hair or was just wearing a wig, but it seems likely that her character Mabel will rock the red at some point in the sixth season of Only Murders. Hulu has not yet announced when the next installment will premiere, but it comes on the heels of season 5 rolling out from September to October last year.

“Well, looks like our fam is going to London y’all …,” Gomez wrote on Instagram after the series was renewed for a sixth season. “I want to thank our community and fans of @onlymurdershulu for allowing us to even have a season 6! We are eternally grateful we can bring any of you any sort of joy. My deepest gratitude from Steve, Marty and myself.”

Another project Gomez has in the works is the final season of Wizards Beyond Waverly Place, which will see her make her directorial debut. She also recently reunited with Miley Cyrus to make a cameo in the Hannah Montana anniversary special.
