Seether alter ‘Remedy’ lyrics to diss venue security for removing frontman’s seven-year-old daughter from side of stage

Seether have altered the lyrics to their song ‘Remedy’ to diss venue security following an incident with the frontman’s daughter.

The incident took place as the South African rock band were performing at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Tulsa last Thursday (May 29).

During the performance, singer Shaun Morgan abruptly put the set on hold after he noticed his daughter had been removed from the side of the stage.

He went to find out what exactly had happened, before coming back, visibly annoyed, to tell the audience the details of what he found out.

“Hey, sorry, that took a little while. I had my fucking kid on the side of the stage the whole entire show, and then suddenly this fucking asshole kicks her the fuck off the stage,” he said.

“She’s seven years old, and now she can’t even go in the front of fucking house and watch the show? Man, fuck you. What the fuck is wrong with people? She’s a fucking child, and you just kicked her off the fucking stage her dad’s playing,” he added. “I hope your dick is super fucking huge bro.”

The frustration then continued into the remainder of the set too, with the frontman changing the words of the hit 2005 song ‘Remedy’ to make another jab at the venue staff.

Blah, blah-blady-blah, some fucking rules that kick the kids out/ Doing no fucking harm, just watching Daddy play a rock show/ I’m a little man, with a tiny dick, and I have control,” he sang instead.

This isn’t the first time that the Seether singer has been vocal about his opinions while on stage. Back in 2021, he spoke to the crowd during the set about Machine Gun Kelly, and shared his approval for those who booed the rapper-turned-rocker during his set.

“I congratulated the crowd for booing that prick off the stage,” he said, referring to MGK’s set at Louder Than Life that year. “Here’s my thing – you were a rapper, you got rapped out of rapping because you got so owned by Eminem. Then you come to rock…”

He continued, making a nod to MGK’s past feud with Corey Taylor: “I was proud of those people. I didn’t feel like you belong on a stage like that after one or two singles just because you’ve got a name and a fancy girlfriend and now you’re a big headliner at a rock festival. And especially not when you take on one of metal’s greatest singers and you think that you’re gonna get away with it.”
