See Finneas Perform Paramore’s ‘Crushcrushcrush’ With Hayley Williams at Nashville Show

Singer’s For Cryin’ Out Loud! Tour kicked off Thursday at the Ryman Auditorium

Finneas’ For Cryin’ Out Loud! Tour kicked off Thursday night in Nashville, where he was joined onstage by a surprise guest… no, it wasn’t Billie Eilish. Instead, Hayley Williams made a cameo appearance.

For the final song of the evening at the Ryman Auditorium, Finneas and the Paramore singer delivered a rendition of that band’s “Crushcrushcrush,” which marked the first time Williams had sung the Riot! track live since 2018.

Both Finneas and Williams were on the bill at last week’s G*ve a F*ck benefit concert in Los Angeles, although they didn’t perform together at the time. Instead, Williams played a pair of acoustic covers — Failure’s “Daylight” and Bjork’s “All Is Full of Love,” both with Failure’s Ken Andrews on guitar — and staged a semi-Rilo Kiley reunion, while Finneas’ two-song set featured his solo songs “For Cryin’ Out Loud!” and “Only a Lifetime.”

Finneas’ 14-date tour continues Friday in Atlanta and runs through March 5, concluding at Los Angeles’ Hollywood Palladium.

Williams has also hinted at a return to the road this year with the long-awaited solo trek in support of her album Petals for Armor, as the initial tour was canceled due to the Covid pandemic.
