Sebastian Yatra, Maria Becerra & More: Who Had the Best New Latin Music Release This Week?

This week, Billboard’s New Music Latin playlist — curated by Billboard Latin and Billboard Español editors — features fresh new music including Maria Becerra’s third studio album Quimera, Tainy and Karol G’s melancholic reggaetón “Única” and “LA FKN VIBRA,” a first collaborative effort by Sebastian Yatra and Xavi.

On her new studio album, Becerra opens up about a dark moment in her life following a second ectopic pregnancy that led to her hospitalization. It was during her recovery that the Argentine artist created her 17-track project, bringing to life four alter egos: Shanina, Gladys, Jojo and Maite.

“I had just gone through a very difficult health situation, a huge loss,” she recently told Billboard. “I was in a very hopeless, sad and empty emotional state … it was a harsh dose of reality. I went through many phases. When I was at my peak of recovery, that was the Jojo moment — unconsciously, everything was connected to my recovery and my emotional states.”

Also new this week, Sebastian Yatra and Xavi joined forces on “LA FKN VIBRA,” a catchy reggaetón song with subtle regional Mexican melodies that best represent those who know how to live life to the fullest and simply understand the vibe.

Other new releases this week include Santa Fe Klan’s new album, Baile Cholo, a unique collab between Arcángel and Grupo Firme, and Kany García’s latest tune. Which release this week do you think is best? Give these new releases a spin and vote for your favorite new Latin music release below:

Editor’s Note: The results of the weekly New Music Latin poll will be posted if the poll generates more than 1,000 votes. This poll closes at 7:30 a.m. ET on Monday, Nov. 24.
