Sean Combs Raped 16-Year-Old Babysitter, New Lawsuit Claims

Sean Combs is facing a new Jane Doe accuser who alleges the Bad Boy Records founder drugged and sexually assaulted her when she was a 16-year-old high school student walking home from a babysitting gig in lower Manhattan in late August or early September 2000.

In her lawsuit filed Monday and obtained by Rolling Stone, the woman alleges she was a part-time babysitter at an apartment building where “a well-known woman whom the defendant was in a relationship also resided.” The lawsuit, filed in Manhattan, does not name the allegedly famous woman. The plaintiff says she was exiting the building on her way to her parents’ residence around the corner when she encountered Combs sitting in an SUV with the door open.

“Combs engaged her in conversation, asking where she was going so late at night, and that it was not safe for her to be walking alone,” the lawsuit alleges. The plaintiff says she told Combs she lived nearby and would be okay, but Combs allegedly persisted and convinced her to get inside his vehicle.

“Getting into Combs’ car that day was something plaintiff would come to regret forever,” the lawsuit states. “During the ride, plaintiff became scared when they did not drop her off at home as promised. The defendant gave her a drink to ‘calm her down.’ She soon became groggy and unsteady.”

The woman alleges a male driver and another man were in the vehicle with Combs at the time. The men are identified as John Does in the new lawsuit. The lawsuit says Combs and the other men drove the teen to a location “where plaintiff was raped by Combs.” It says, “she was eventually taken home and left in the lobby of her building by the same driver.”

The plaintiff says she grew up in New York City and was a student at The Museum School at the time. The new lawsuit comes after at least 40 other plaintiffs have sued Combs over the past 16 months with allegations of sexual assault or other sexual misconduct.

In a statement, Combs’ legal team denied the woman’s claims. “No matter how many lawsuits are filed, it won’t change the fact that Mr. Combs has never sexually assaulted, or sex trafficked anyone — man or woman, adult or minor,” the legal team said in a previous statement shared again Monday. “We live in a world where anyone can file a lawsuit for any reason. Fortunately, a fair and impartial judicial process exists to find the truth, and Mr. Combs is confident he will prevail in court.” (The woman’s attorney, Michael F. Rubin, did not immediately reply for additional comment.)

The deluge of civil claims against Combs started when his former partner Casandra “Cassie” Ventura filed her graphic sex-trafficking complaint in November 2023. Combs settled with Ventura for an undisclosed sum within 24 hours, but her 35-page complaint, now the heart of the music mogul’s criminal prosecution in New York, opened the floodgates. Combs’ homes were raided in March 2024, and in May, CNN obtained and published the harrowing hotel surveillance video showing Combs throwing, kicking, stomping, and dragging Ventura in the hallway of the InterContinental Hotel in Los Angeles. After first denying Ventura’s claims against him, Combs issued a video apology related to the incident, admitting his “behavior on that video is inexcusable.”

Combs, 55, was indicted in September and has pleaded not guilty to charges of sex trafficking, racketeering conspiracy, and transportation to engage in prostitution. He was arrested in New York City on Sept. 16 and has been detained since. He’s currently housed at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn. His trial is set for May.
