ScHoolboy Q Says New Album ‘THank Que’ Will Drop Next Year: ‘I Will Never Retire’

ScHoolboy Q‘s follow-up to 2024’s critically acclaimed Blue Lips album is on the way.

During a recent show in L.A. to celebrate the 10-year anniversary of the Blank Face LP, Q told the crowd that his latest album is set to drop sometime next year and promised that he has no plans of ever hanging the mic up.

“New album called THank Que coming out next year. I promise you that,” he told the crowd as he was closing the show. “Ten-year anniversary, and I’mma be around for the 20th too. I promise that. I will never retire.”

This update comes just a few months after he shared a picture on his Instagram Story hard at work in the studio. “New chapter,” he captioned a photo of studio equipment. “Wrapping up this 12-song album called Thank Que. Been working on this for a minute. Yes, I’m coming back.”

He originally announced that he would be doing one show in L.A. to commemorate Blank Face‘s 10th birthday. “Blank Face turns 10. Appreciate everybody,” he wrote in his IG Story. “F— it, let’s do one show in L.A. at the Palladium. F— it, new vinyl too.” However, instead of just doing one night only, the West Coast rapper instead embarked on a nine-city tour for 10 nights with his hometown getting two nights, of course.

On Tuesday night (Oct. 13), he’ll be in Phoenix at Van Buren and will close things out in Las Vegas at Brooklyn Bowl on Saturday.
