“I don’t take any of you for granted and I’m so appreciative of the way you show your love and express it,” she says in a letter to fans
Sabrina Carpenter is ending 2024 by thanking her fans for her “magical” year. In an email to her Carpenters Tuesday, the “Espresso” star reflected on her breakthrough year after releasing album Short ‘n Sweet.
“Putting out the album was one thing….but the way you gave it such incredible life was another!” Carpenter wrote in the email. “You guys made Short n’ Sweet my first Grammy-nominated album, you guys broke historical records I did not even know existed, and you guys sold out my first arena tour in minutes!”
Carpenter will start 2025 with a whopping six Grammy nominations, including Best New Artist, Best Pop Vocal Album, and Album of the Year for Short ‘n Sweet; Song of the Year for “Please Please Please”; and both Record of the Year and Best Pop Solo Performance for “Espresso.”
“I know none of this would EVER be possible without each and every one of you that are currently reading this. I don’t take any of you for granted and I’m so appreciative of the way you show your love and express it,” Carpenter wrote. “I felt it in the audience of every show. And i can’t wait to feel it again when we get to Europe next year.”
Carpenter encouraged fans to close the year by slowing down and reflecting with loved ones — and said that she’ll be doing the same. “Like man!! childhood dreams coming true all because of you guys. I can’t thank you enough,” she wrote before adding, “I always like to end the year writing down things that I am grateful happened, and dreaming of things I hope will. if you’re bored, try it, you never know.”
“Goodbye! to 2024. Very much looking forward to 2025,” she signed off. “I love you so much. I’m gonna go pick out my outfits.”
Carpenter had such a massive year since dropping “Espresso” and performing it at Coachella in April. The single kicked off her ultra-successful sixth album Short ‘n Sweet era that served as her breakthrough. This year, she performed on Saturday Night Live, released a Netflix Christmas special, headlined a sold-out arena tour, and ended the year by dropping her own drink at Dunkin.
