Rosalía Fights off an Ex’s Bad Energy in ‘La Perla’ Video

The singer has shared the visual for her biting Lux single

Rosalía is protecting her peace, literally. In the music video for her biting Lux single “La Perla,” the singer tries on different suits of armor — from a fencing outfit to a chastity belt — in order to protect herself as she fights off the bad energy of the “peace thief” she sings about.

Directed by Stillz, who worked with the singer on the video “Vampiros” with ex-fiancé Rauw Alejandro, the visual finds Rosalía moving through a myriad of scenes. In the first, she’s sits against a white background, masterfully slicing a fencing sword through the air as she sings about a self-aggrandizing ex. In another, she saunters on the streets of Miami, sporting a sexy chastity belt above low-rise pants. Rosalía suits up in hockey gear at a skating rink and a biting suit as she handles two large dogs.

Despite lending her vocals to the song, música Mexicana singer Yahritza does not make an appearance in the “La Perla” music video. Yahritza is one of the select features on Rosalía’s fourth studio album, which includes Yves Tumor, Björk, Carminho, Dougie F, Estrella Morente, and Sílvia Pérez Cruz.

Since releasing Lux in November, the singer has received critical acclaim for the wide-ranging project, and even secured the biggest streaming debut ever for a female Spanish-language album on Spotify. Earlier this month, Rosalía announced a global 2026 tour for Lux, where she will bring the baroque album to audience in North America, Europe, and South America .

In an interview with Billboard, Rosalía spoke about what she hopes audiences take away from the album. “In the best-case scenario, the idea would be that whoever hears it feels light and feels hope,” she said. “Because that was how it was made and where it was made from.”
