Tributes have been paid following news that POORSTACY has died, aged 26.
The rapper and frequent Travis Barker collaborator, whose real name is Carlito Junior Milfort, has been reported by outlets including Billboard as dying after an “incident”.
It is understood that police were called to the hotel he was staying at in Boca Raton, Florida, on Saturday (November 29), and he was taken to a nearby hospital.
His death was later confirmed by the local police department and by the county’s medical examiner, and a cause of death has not been officially disclosed.
Aside from his solo work, POORSTACY was also widely recognised for his collaborations with Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker. Together they released songs including ‘Hills Have Eyes’, ‘Nothing Left’, and the popular 2020 single ‘Choose Life’.
He also worked with Bring Me the Horizon frontman Oli Sykes in the past, as well as rapper Iann Dior.
Since news of his passing, numerous fans and fellow musicians have come forward to pay their respects to POORSTACY.
Travis Barker shared a clip of the two of them recording a music video together on his Instagram Stories, alongside the caption “Rest in peace, you’ll never be forgotten”.
Iann Dior shared: ‘I don’t even know where to start….you were the first brother I made when I came out to LA. We went and did everything together. You always stuck up for me when nobody else would even if it didn’t call for it.
“We fought like brothers all the time but at the end of the day we have been through the roughest times together and the happiest moments, memories I’ll cherish forever,” he added. “I’m so sorry lito it should’ve have ended this way…. You didn’t deserve this. Rest in paradise my brother.”
One fan took to X/Twitter to share: “Bro was extra talented, remember the song Nick Mira produced for him ‘Make Up.. lowkey helped pave the way for this newer generation on the sad wave.”
Another shared: “I was literally listening to his ‘I Don’t Care’ ep today… this is heartbreaking”, while a third wrote: “damn… I remember being in elementary when he first started to pop off with internet money. rip man, gone way too soon.”

The rapper had two LPs and two EPs to his name, and dropped his most recent single, ‘Nothing Belongs To You’ in July.
As highlighted by Metro, he cited artists like Slipknot, The Strokes, Billy Idol, XXXTentacion, The Kooks and more as inspiration for his own music, and captured a blend of punk, heavy metal and hip-hop.
