Now, the birthplace of reggaeton in South America — and of great figures of the genre such as Karol G, J Balvin, Maluma, Feid, Ryan Castro, among others — will witness the ceremony that recognizes the best of Latin music through public voting.

And it won’t just be the awards night, but an entire week of music with the Heat Medellin Festival, scheduled for May 26-30.

The event, held with the support of the Mayor’s Office of Medellín, seeks to promote the city as a cultural epicenter with this type of event that attracts both locals and tourists, this time to gather around the music industry. Throughout the week there will be different spaces open to the public free of charge, including international conferences, meetings with the press, different networking spaces and showcases.

The programing will be announced at a later date.
