Playboi Carti will kick off his first solo headline tour since 2021 this fall, dubbed the Antagonist Tour. Carti is set to headlining arenas across the U.S. including Los Angeles’ Crypto Arena, Brooklyn’s Barclays Center, and his hometown of Atlanta’s State Farm Arena for the last stop in December. The tour will kick off at Salt Lake City’s Delta Center on Oct. 3. Artist presale starts on Aug. 26 at 10 a.m. local time while general sales begin on Aug. 29 at 10 a.m. local time as well.
In March, Carti released Music, his highly anticipated third studio album, which followed 2020’s Whole Lotta Red. The album featured a staggering track list of 30 songs and featured guest spots from Kendrick Lamar, the Weeknd, Future, Travis Scott, Lil Uzi Vert, Ty Dolla $ign, and Skepta. A Young Thug feature was squeezed in at the last minute, causing further delay on an album Carti had been teasing for years. A few weeks later, Carti released a deluxe edition of Music called Music – Sorry 4 Da Wait. It included four additional, previously-released singles that had yet to make their way to popular streaming services until the deluxe.

In Rolling Stone contributor Mosi Reeves’ review of Music, he wrote, “Without naming and shaming his many imitators (and inspiring angry social media posts as a result), none approach their craft with the level of imagination and creativity that Carti does. Even when he slips into an uninspired chant or exhausts with his monomaniacal focus on drugs, women, cars, and taunting opps, he still magnetizes as a wholly unique pop star.”
