PinkPantheress to make acting debut in Daniels’ ‘Everything Everywhere All At Once’ follow-up

PinkPantheress will be making her feature acting debut in a new film by Daniels.

The pop star, real name Victoria Walker, has joined a notable cast in the as-yet-untitled project, which will be the directing duo’s first film since winning multiple Oscars (including Best Picture) for 2022’s Everything Everywhere All At Once. The pair, also known as Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert, also directed the surreal 2016 comedy Swiss Army Man with Daniel Radcliffe.

According to a report from Deadline, she joins a cast that includes Matt Damon, Sandra Oh, and Charles Melton, and the film is scheduled for release on November 19, 2027. In keeping with the directors’ desire to keep information about upcoming projects under wraps, no further details are available at this time. The Hollywood Reporter stated that Ryan Gosling had exited the project due to scheduling conflicts.

PinkPantheress enjoyed a landmark 2025, thanks partly to the success of ‘Illegal’, a track that became immensely popular on social media and was chosen as NME’s Song of the Year. Speaking to us about its success, she remarked: “I don’t know if it’s anything too deep, other than having a [TikTok] trend for it helped and also the sample is quite timeless. I think the power of the beat itself is what people really like about it.” When asked if she knew it would be big when she recorded it, the Grammy nominee replied: “No, not at all. I didn’t really think it was going to be ‘the one’.”

The artist has enjoyed a busy festival season, appearing at the recent Primavera Sound in Barcelona, as well as Open’er in Poland. In May, she was chosen as one of the first ‘icons’ for the forthcoming National Album Day, held on October 17.
