The record will serve as the lead single for the musician’s follow-up to 2023’s Heaven Knows
Bridgerton’s Lady Whistledown would have a lot to say about PinkPantheress‘ latest single “Tonight,” the video for which finds the innovative musician derailing a regency-era ballroom performance. Directed by Charlotte Rutherford, the clip follows PinkPantheress and her crew riding up to a mansion on bikes and carriages with plans to make her the most desirable — and chaotic — diamond of the season.
“I leave my bedroom with my posters of you up/I do this all because your my superstar/Ilook at you and I wonder why its so complicated/You’re talking out to a crowd of people who thought you hated/Your friends will tell me you’re too scared of coming up/But tonight, why is it all emotional to me,” PinkPantheress sings on the propulsive dance track. “You want sex with me/Come talk to me/Talk later, that’s why I’m goin’ tonight/You’re hot, on fire, that’s why I’m callin’ tonight/Talk later, that’s why I’m goin’ tonight/Your sex on fire, that’s why I like goin’ tonight.”

“Tonight” will serve as the lead single to PinkPantheress’ forthcoming follow-up to her debut album, 2023’s Heaven Knows. “I’m so excited to finally bring out the first single of my new project, I hope everyone has as much fun listening to it as I do,” she shared in a statement.
The single also marks the official return of PinkPantheress after she cancelled her slate of 2024 appearances to focus on her health, including festival performances and an opening slot with Olivia Rodrigo. “It is with the heaviest heart that I sadly have to announce that I will not be able to continue with the rest of my live shows this year in order to focus on my physical health and overall well-being,” she wrote on Instagram at the time. “It appears I have reached a wall which I am struggling to penetrate through … I’m sad to disappoint anyone and can only hope we will be in each other’s company once I return to health.”
