The Brummie rockers are set to drop their LP on June 5 digitally, on vinyl, CD and cassette. They will release an exclusive black with white and orange stripe vinyl, while a Dinked Edition will be pressed on black, white & blue smoke / splatter vinyl and limited to 500 copies. You can pre-order it here.

The band have shared the first taster from the record with new single ‘Union Station’. You can listen to it below.

Frontman Max Newbold said of the song: “‘Union Station’ started with hearing someone say ‘It’s a dog-eat-dog world’ like it was just normal. That idea of life being one big competition freaked me out a bit. I never wanted to fight for jobs or houses or compare myself to everyone else. I’ve always romanticised train stations as the place you run to when you’ve mentally checked out, even if you’re doing it with a half-smile and a bit of self-awareness.”

He added: “It ties into the album as the first step into that theme: growing up clueless, making mistakes, and realising that not having it all figured out is fine.”

According to a press release, the album “is born from uncertainty” in a “maelstrom of 20-something existential confusion”.

The tracklist for ‘Elsewhere, Always’ is:

‘Union Station’
‘Sandman’
‘Is This Real?’
‘Fall In Love’
‘Bonnie & Clyde Pt. 2’
‘Forever, You’
‘Spinning’
‘I Will’
‘Get Up!’
‘Heaven’

Overpass are set to perform at Y Not Festival 2026 at Pikehall in Derbyshire on August 1 alongside the likes of The Reytons, Two Door Cinema Club, The Streets and The Libertines. Visit here for any remaining tickets.

Reviewing one of their early shows Brudenell Social Club NME awarded the band four stars and said at the time that Overpass “appear to be unlocking the same magic touch that once blew up Inhaler, and is continuing to build momentum for the likes for Nieve Ella or Master Peace“.

It added: “Bigger stages surely await Overpass, who have all the necessary tools to cut through an oversaturated British indie scene – their adoring fans will take care of the rest.”
