ONE OK ROCK Surprise-Drops New Single ‘Puppets Can’t Control You,’ Unveils ‘DETOX’ Album Track List

ONE OK ROCK surprise-dropped a new song called “Puppets Can’t Control You” on Sunday (Jan. 19).

The four-man band’s latest release is the second lead single from its upcoming new album DETOX, due Feb. 21. The track is being featured as the theme song for the TBS drama series Mikami Sensei, which started airing on the same day, and was premiered at the end of the first episode ahead of its digital release.

“With the passionate feelings we received from the producers (of the drama series) in mind, and our hope that we could provide a spark to help deliver those feelings alongside this show to viewers from within this world of propaganda, we wrote this song with love,” says ONE OK ROCK frontman Taka. “We hope that seeing this show and listening to this song will provide an opportunity for everyone to rethink what is right and wrong.”
