Oasis share teaser of stage from inside Cardiff Principality Stadium

Oasis have given fans a sneak peek at the stage production for their huge reunion tour, ahead of the opening show in Cardiff tonight (July 4). Check out the videos below.

The Britpop band will take to the stage at the Welsh capital’s Principality Stadium at 8:15pm BST, following support slots from Cast and Richard Ashcroft. Doors are scheduled to open at 5pm, with a curfew set for 10:30pm (see the full timings here).

It’ll mark Liam and Noel Gallagher‘s first live performance together in 16 years, following Oasis’ acrimonious break-up in 2009, and subsequent years of estrangement.

While some began queuing outside the venue up to 24 hours before the gig, Oasis’ team shot some official footage of the stage being constructed inside.

A black-and-white video shows a time-lapse of the build, soundtracked by ‘Fuckin’ In The Bushes’ (2000) – which was often used as an intro at the group’s live concerts. The ‘Standing On The Shoulder Of Giants’ cut features samples from Murray Lerner’s Message To Love documentary film about the 1970 Isle Of Wight Festival.

In the clip, we’re given an overview of the pitch from the stands at the Principality Stadium. Various trucks and cranes assist with getting the stage, speaker stacks and lighting rigs into place.

Another video – this time in full colour – captures crew members attaching a giant recreation of the iconic Oasis logo to the stage, and moving around flight cases containing the band’s gear.

You can watch both clips here:

Meanwhile, the first look at Oasis’ reunion merchandise has been shared along with the prices of each item on offer. Fans will be able to get their hands on jackets, football shirts, t-shirts, hoodies, bucket hats and more.

Ticketholders will also be able to buy new merch at pop-up stores in the cities Oasis are visiting this summer, but have been warned to “book now to avoid queues”.

The early birds lining up in Cardiff were reportedly surprised with a special VIP ticket upgrade. This came after Liam Gallagher responded to reports that Oasis’ crew had not been given free tickets to the tour.

Some fans are said to have travelled to Wales from Japan, Korea, the US, Italy and Mexico. Another pair of attendees revealed that they’d “started queuing at half four this morning”, and  “slept in [a] van”.

Noel Gallagher has said Oasis are “sounding huge” ahead of tonight’s first comeback show in Cardiff. Elsewhere, the band’s former rival Robbie Williams has wished them “good luck” for the gig.

Amid the growing anticipation and hype, audio clips from the stadium emerged online, giving hints at what fans can expect from the setlist. An impressive drone display depicting Oasis’ logo also appeared above the Principality Stadium this week.

Additionally, Aldi renamed a Manchester branch of the supermarket “Aldeh” in honour of the reunited Gallaghers, with Lidl launching a ‘Lidl By Lidl’ Oasis jacket inspired by Liam’s Berghaus coat.

Oasis will play a second date in Cardiff tomorrow (Saturday July 5) ahead of five homecoming shows at Manchester’s Heaton Park, seven nights at London’s Wembley Stadium, and stops in Edinburgh and Dublin. Later on the Oasis Live ’25 trek, they’ll head to North America, South America, Australia, South Korea and Japan.

Last month saw Liam and Noel appear together in an Adidas Originals advert as part of a new partnership with the brand. They also teamed up with Bohemian FC for a new football shirt to mark their return.

In other news, the UK competition watchdog has written to Ticketmaster – threatening legal action over its “misleading” methods of selling tickets for the Oasis reunion tour.

It was confirmed last year that over 10million fans from 158 countries had applied to get tickets for Oasis’ 2025 shows, meaning the official on-sale platforms struggled to cope with demand.
