Oasis reunion: Noel and Liam Gallagher reportedly perform “secret set” in London pub

Noel and Liam Gallagher reportedly performed a “secret set” in a London pub earlier this week.

As previously reported, the Gallagher brothers were snapped arriving at the working men’s Mildmay club in London’s Newington Green on Thursday (April 24) in what was reportedly a filming session for an upcoming Adidas campaign.

But it has now come to light that they also apparently filmed a set of songs that will feature in a promotional film for Oasis‘ forthcoming reunion tour, according to The Sun.

A source told the tabloid: “Noel and Liam are still Shakermakers and they drove one of the neighbours mad with the noise. They took over the Mildmay to film a promo video for the tour and the din was huge.

“Before Noel and Liam had even arrived, a resident next door came out and said they needed to turn the bass down. But it’s Oasis – they’re only going to turn it up – and they did when Noel and Liam started up.”

Noel confirmed during an appearance on TalkSport on Friday morning (April 25) that he had seen Liam on Thursday, saying: “He’s great. I was with him yesterday actually. He’s alright, he was on tip-top form. He can’t wait – none of us can wait.”

The guitarist also revealed the timeline for the band’s first formal sessions together. “I’m in the studio noodling around,” he said. “Just getting ready for rehearsals to start in about three weeks. And then we’ll see what happens.”

Liam also referenced the meeting with Noel on his X account.

Replying to a post asking him if he was going to buy a pair of Noel’s new sunglasses range, he said: “He gave me a pair yesterday I mean last Sunday.”

The “last Sunday” in question was Easter Sunday, in which Liam has said he was joined by Noel and his sons Donovan and Sonny for a “biblical” afternoon.

Earlier today (April 26), he also responded to Noel’s “tip-top form” comment. “He’s the same we’re locked in,” Liam said before adding that “he can’t wait to get rehearsing.”

Oasis currently have 41 dates booked in for 2025 that will take them across multiple continents and will run through until November, with support to come from Cast, Richard Ashcroft, Cage The Elephant and Ball Park Music.

Last month, sources close to the band revealed to NME that the band’s line-up on the tour will include Noel, Liam, bassist Andy Bell, guitarists Gem Archer and Paul “Bonehead” Arthurs and drummer Joey Waronker.

Original drummer Tony McCarroll is not involved in the comeback tour, and recently shared a message with the band and their fans, writing: “The circle has started again lads. A new generation ready to start a journey of listening. Actually, I’m a bit jealous of that blank canvas they’re about to start on.”

“Lads, the world is excited to see this, it’s all people are talking about. The time ‘feels’ right, I can’t wait to see how it all goes down,” he expressed. “Liam, Noel, Bone, Gem…. (I better stop there as I’m not sure who else) Good luck with everything, and don’t forget to stop and take it in! If the drummer fancies a stage partner for Supersonic at Heaton Park, give us a buzz ;)”

Last month, Noel broke his silence on the controversy surrounding tickets when they went on sale last August. “I thought it’d be a big deal, but I was a bit taken aback by just how much of a big deal it was,” he said. A recent report from Lloyds Banking Group suggested that ticket scams during the sales last summer cost fans more than £2million.

Elsewhere, the band also recently re-released their classic single ’Some Might Say’ to mark its 30th anniversary. It was their first UK Number One single in 1995 and came alongside the classic B-sides ‘Talk Tonight’, ‘Acquiesce’ and ‘Headshrinker’.

Stereophonics frontman Kelly Jones also recently revealed to NME that Noel has been back writing new material in the studio. “I’m assuming he’s doing some writing for either his stuff or if they’re [Oasis] gonna bring out a couple songs, I don’t know,” he said.
