Oasis announce when they’ll reveal Australian reunion tour dates

Oasis have confirmed that they’ll soon be adding an Australian leg to their upcoming reunion tour.

Earlier this week, Liam and Noel Gallagher announced a string of shows across North America – marking the first international dates for their reunion tour. Shortly after, four new dates were added due to “phenomenal demand”.

Later, an exclusive source told NME that the Gallagher brothers are set to announce more reunion shows within the US and other international territories such as South Korea, Japan, Australia, Brazil, Chile and Argentina.

Now, Oasis have confirmed that the Australia dates are on the way. Taking to their Twitter/X account today (October 5), the band shared images of two billboards that read “Australia: It’s your shout!”.

Both billboards appear to be in Melbourne – the city sources close to the tour previously revealed to NME would be hosting the reunion shows. Alongside the photos, the caption reads: “Tuesday, 8am AEDT,” suggesting the exact dates and venues will be announced on October 8.

Tickets for the North American leg of the reunion tour went on sale yesterday (October 4) and promptly sold out. Fans have been reacting to the extensive queues, with one calling it the “most frustrating experience of my life”.

Elsewhere, some fans were reacting to the prices – which were significantly lower than some of those offered to UK fans as a result of Ticketmaster’s surge pricing. “I am truly shocked at how relatively normal the prices were,” wrote one fan on Twitter/X.

It follows the band’s recent confirmation that a dynamic pricing structure would not be applied to their North American reunion tour dates, after the disaster that struck fans while trying to purchase tickets for their UK and Ireland ‘OASIS LIVE ’25’ reunion tour.

Oasis had also pre-warned fans of fake re-sale tickets for the North American leg of the tour, after over 9,000 tickets surfaced on two of the largest resale platforms ahead of their official sale, despite the fact fans hadn’t been able to purchase legitimate tickets yet.

Liam and Noel have not performed together since Oasis’ acrimonious split in 2009, following an “altercation” between the pair at Paris’ Rock en Seine festival, just hours before their headline appearance.

After announcing their long-awaited reunion last month and going on to confirm that they will not be playing any festivals next year, the band started hinting to fans that other headline dates around the world were planned.

In other news, fans have been speculating as to who will be opening for the Britpop legends on their highly-awaited reunion shows after it was reported last month that Liam was seeking “established acts” to support them on tour. So far, support has only been announced for the North American leg, which will see Cage The Elephant join for all dates.

Various names have been flying around since the band confirmed their comeback, and earlier in the year, when a fan on X/Twitter asked if Richard Ashcroft would be supporting Oasis at their 2025 live shows, Liam replied: “That would be BIBLICAL”.

Last night (October 4) Liam once again took to Twitter/X to fan the flames, further suggesting Ashcroft will be joining the bill, but also teasing that Blur and Manic Street Preachers may be heading out on the road with them.

Elsewhere, Blossoms recently spoke to NME about the possibility of supporting the Britpop legends, with frontman Tom Ogden saying: “If we get asked, the bags are packed, and we’d smash it.”

Oasis initially began teasing their reunion following Liam Gallagher’s headline set at Reading Festival by sharing a mysterious date on their screens. Blossoms also shared the same teaser on their big concert screens as Liam and Noel at their Wythenshawe Park gig, prompting speculation that they might have something to do with the reunion.
