Nova Twins tease return for 2025

Nova Twins appear to be signalling their return with new music in 2025 – check out the posts below.

The London rock duo – comprising Amy Love and Georgia South – released their second and most recent album, ‘Supernova’, in 2022. It was shortlisted for the Mercury Prize that year, and led to the band earning two BRIT Award nominations in 2023.

To bring in the new year, Nova Twins have shared a series of posts on social media that appear to contain official artwork for a forthcoming project. The three images feature butterflies on a light blue background. Each of the uploads is simply captioned: “2025.”

In a recent Instagram Story, the group teased that “2025 ain’t ready” for what’s to come. You can see the posts here:

Speaking to NME last October, Nova Twins gave an update on the progress they had made on their third studio record.

“We’re past the thick of it, which is great,” South explained, with Love adding: “We’ve signed it off. The album’s done.”

When asked what sound fans could expect from the album, South responded: “I don’t know if we can go that far…”

Love then told NME: “We’ve worked really hard and put our all into it. We’re really excited to get into rehearsals and play the songs live, because there are some really great moments.”

NME then asked if there was any added pressure from the prolonged success of ‘Supernova’, to which Love replied: “Of course, we’re human. There was pressure, and there will be pressure when we release it – we’re probably going to shit ourselves – but that was the same when we released our first single onto YouTube to five followers.

“As long as we both agree that we are happy with the end result, it doesn’t really matter what anybody else thinks after that, because we’re confident in our decision.”

She added: “We’ve got to the point [with] this album, now we’ve signed it off, where we’re both like, ‘This is it, great’. After that, you just have to take the highs with the lows. We’ve done our best. We love it, we’re excited about it, and we believe that our audience will be too.”

Nova Twins already have some UK and European festival appearances scheduled for this summer, including Boomtown Fair, Bearded Theory and Hurricane Festival.
